There are many frozen babies "left over" from IVF. Embryonic stem cell researchers use this "excess" of embryos to promote their research. They argue that "these embryos should not just be thrown in the garbage. Let us do something useful with them." Every family with the means should consider adopting a frozen baby. It sounds strange, but the only way to protect these millions of vulnerable children is to adopt and care for them. You can look into one of the many frozen embryo adoption agencies at this site: http://www.nightlight.org/snowflakeslanding.asp We can make a difference, one life at a time!

Guess what movie this picture is from. Its one of my favorites. However, it poses an interesting question. In one culture, it is customary for people to take their own lives with honor. In another culture, suicide is appropriately considered sinful and an act of despair. If someone from the latter culture aids someone from the former culture in taking his own life, then is she held accountable because of her knowledge of immorality in suicide? I would speculate yes. Because she was tought that suicide is wrong, (which it is: it is a sin against human dignity and against the Holy Spirit) she can not in right conscience aid another in committing that sin. Just something to ponder, or, rather something I pondered while watching this fantastic film. Figured it out yet? Post your guess as to what movie this is!

Pope Saint John Paul the Great compares the trajedy of the WWII Holocaust to the American Holocaust- the slaughter of innocence in the womb- in his book Memory and Identity. This BBC article from February, 2005 tells you a bit more about the book. In my opinion, the book is absolutely splendid. Everyone who loves JPIIG should read it!
